Hong Kong Fundraiser Slideshow

Hello! Very happy now, I am on the plane home to Vancouver after a great night, a great fundraiser in Hongkong. The event was held at the PEEL FRESCO Jazz Bar, 49 Peel street, Soho. Guy, Rob and Joyce were are hosts and the night went TOPS!

Mike Lang was the big man of the show, through his previous fundraising events he has built up a sound reputation that led into the intro of a steady group of supporters (over 70 people came) and the use of the PEEL FRESCO Lounge… nice work.

The Tommy Ho Jazz Trio killed it…… everyone was really stoked by their music. Energetic, classic jazz……………………… and right up close. Its a cozy space so many of us were pressed right up close to the band. Cool.

Nick and Chris MC’d and kept the intermissions lively with their comedic wit, and we have to thank them and their friends for taking their time to keep the flow fun, and moving. Cheers guys.

This training was also with the De’Ang ethnic minority group though with a different group than the previous training. Three villages had people at the training which was held in the largest of the village’s administration compound. Over 175 people showed up! There was lots of talking, Q&A, games and songs with an HIV/AIDS prevention theme. Lots of smiles were passed on both sides and lots of energy. It went well considering how BIG of a group there was.

This trip I invited a Canadian friend who has been working here in Hong Kong for 4 years, Michael Lang, to join us. He has been raising funds for NGOs over the past 3 years and is very interested in helping us with our work in Yunnan.
